Giuliano Poles graduated in Piano Performance from the “Jacopo Tomadini” Conservatory in Udine, where he studied under M° Ugo Cividino and later with M° Antonio Nimis. During his final academic years, he refined his skills by studying with internationally renowned teachers such as Daniel Rivera, Lukáš Michel, and Luigi Di Ilio, delving particularly into the Impressionist repertoire.
Throughout his studies, he participated successfully in numerous national and international competitions, earning significant accolades: 1st Prize at “Città di Stresa” and the 3rd National Competition “Menicagli” in Livorno; 2nd Prize at “Amici della Musica” in Ancona; and 3rd Prize at both the “Antonio Salieri” International Competition in Verona and the “Città di Treviso” in the Contemporary Music section.
“Music is my universal language and an endless field of exploration, where every project begins as a question, and every note unveils a possible answer.”
His concert career began to flourish during these years, leading him to perform in major venues and events. Highlights include symphonic concerts at the “Teatro Verdi” in Pordenone (2006 and 2007) and Padua (2007), the “Concerto Grosso” with the Orchestra and Choir S. Marco, and the gala evening of the “International Architecture Competition” in Turin (2008). In 2012, he performed alongside saxophonist Enrica Birsa at the prestigious World Saxophone Congress (WSCXVI) in St. Andrews, Scotland.
In 2013, after completing his studies at the Conservatory, Giuliano felt the need to expand his artistic expression through composition. This marked the beginning of a phase of research and experimentation, leading him to collaborate on theatrical projects and create music for productions such as Sinchrony City (M.T.V. Labs, 2013) and the éStoria Festival in Gorizia (2014).
2015-2018
In 2015, he released his first solo piano album, Beyond the Thoughts, which was presented during Milano Piano City. That same year, he appeared on the television program I Fatti Vostri on Rai2, performing alongside violinist Nicola Di Benedetto.
The following year, he contributed to the realization of Carmina Balcanica, a concert by M° Valter Sivilotti that brought together voices, choir, and a progressive rock ensemble, performed at the Teatro Kulturni Dom in Gorizia.
In 2017, he released Secrets, an album blending piano, orchestra, and cinematic sound design, which garnered significant acclaim online and marked the start of numerous collaborations and commissioned projects. The following year, inspired by the evocative power of multimedia arts, he worked with Lino Franco on the creation of the namesake theatrical production, combining music, dance, and video to explore emotions through sound and imagery.
In 2018, he collaborated with Israeli tenor Assaf Kacholi, arranging and producing pieces for the album Amore and various singles. Among these was his arrangement of Bella Ciao, performed live with the Babelsberg Film Orchestra conducted by Robert Reimer and broadcast on German television channel RBB.

2021-2022
During the Covid-19 lockdown, he revolutionized his compositional approach, experimenting with innovative soundscapes and unconventional techniques. This prolific period culminated in 2021 with the release of Subtle Nuances, an album marking a stylistic shift towards ambient and neoclassical tones.
In 2022, he released Nyx, a concept album inspired by the night, with each track representing a Greek deity tied to the phases of twilight and dawn. The project received widespread recognition, earning placement on several official Spotify editorial playlists.
2023-2024
The following year, he explored dark ambient and retrowave sounds with Music from Another Universe, an album created entirely with analog synthesizers, magnetic tapes, and vintage saturators, inspired by space exploration and technological advancements.
In 2024, Giuliano released Libellum, a collection of eight piano preludes, each conceived as a photographic snapshot in music, evoking memories and fragments of childhood. Later that same year, he premiered Eclipsing Identity, a concept album blending music and technology, featuring real-time AI-generated light and visual projections during an innovative live performance.
